You are looking at a beautiful. Copy of the rare. (May 1936), first edition of Margaret Mitchell’s Gone With The Wind. As you’ll see from. I specialize in offering unique and rare editions of Gone with the Wind books – and unlike others, only Gone with the Wind. I have been fortunate to hold a number of signed copies. This is the fifth time I’ve made one available. There are very few copies of the first printing autographed by Margaret Mitchell. The May 1936 printing was a smaller printing batch that actually released in June – so you will sometimes see a’first edition’ with a June 1936 date, or even’reprinted June 1936′. This limited printing of the May 1936 version is known as the official first printing. In a letter dated in February, 1937, Mitchell said she would no longer autograph her book, not even for relatives/friends. She died an untimely death when she was hit by a speeding vehicle in 1949. This is truly the most desired book for Gone With The Wind fans. My hope is that this copy will find a home with someone who appreciates this book as much as my wife and I do. In December 2022 and was nearly identical to this listing (the book dealer previously bought that copy from me). The pages are tightly bound and in very good condition. The binding has had a new cloth spine with the original pasted down (see pictures of spine and top). The clean end papers appear to have come with the new cloth spine. The Christmas decorations / ornaments are not included. ANDY WARHOL’S EXPOSURES – 1979 [Signed & Inscribed, First printing]. Andy Warhol’s Exposures. First edition, signed by Warhol and inscribed to Barry Magarick. New York: Andy Warhol Books/ Grosset and Dunlap, 1979. Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition, with a VERY GOOD DJ under Mylar. Boards covered in black cloth show some edgewear, with chips at top and bottom edges of front cover. Please see photographs for details of condition. Spine has silver text and is bright with bumped ends and a dent. Custom endpapers are printed with the Index. Illustrations are bright and clear. Interior is gently age-toned, exhibits minimal signs of wear. Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. DJ looks nice behind Mylar and is backed with archival paper. Close examination of DJ reveals light edgewear including possible bumps, rubbing, and tiny closed tears. 9.5 x 11.5 inches. Andy Warhol begins the Introduction to Exposures by saying, I have Social Disease. I have to out every night. With those words, he begins his documenting of Society as it was being redefined in the 1970s. As always, Warhol is both an observer of the scene and part of the scene. This copy of Andy Warhol’s. Is inscribed to Barry Magarick, an institution in the worlds. Of Philadelphia radio and advertising. With a spot on the Horn and Hardart Children’s Hour variety show. He graduated from Temple University (1961). Where he was a program director at the campus radio station. Most known for his advertising work, where he put an intense. Creative energy to work creating ads that stuck in the viewer or listener’s head, Magarick retained his affinity for. Host of jazz and folk programs on WHAT in the 1960s and an all-night call-in show, “Psychic World, ” on WCAU in. The 1970s, Magarick was a member of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame. No stranger to self-promotion. It is perfectly fitting that he would have a copy of Warhol’s. And that it would be inscribed to him. Signed and inscribed by author on half-title page; DJ is also signed.
