DOOLITTLE’S TOKYO RAIDERS. An amazing addition to any historical collection. Includes a letter signed by Stephen Leonard, an Honorable Tokyo Raider. The letter is written to Frank and Darlene Scott. Frank built the Union Plaza Hotel at No. 1 Main Street with several partners in 1971. He served in Japan during World War II as a second lieutenant in the U. He died in 2006. Book is signed by the Author, Carroll V. Glines on the title page, along with Doolittle’s Tokyo Raiders and Honorable Tokyo Raiders on the half title page. The last surviving Doolittle Raider died in 2019. The Doolittle Raid, also known as the Tokyo Raid, was an air raid on 18 April 1942 by the United States on the Japanese capital Tokyo and other places on Honshu during World War II. It was the first air operation to strike the Japanese archipelago. The identified autographs are noted below in BOLD. One autograph I cannot read to be identified.
