It was likely given to Murphy after his work directing the entertainment for the Eisenhower-Nixon inauguration. Or it may have been presented to him after Murphy’s election to the U. Senate in the early-mid 1960s. It reads: to George Murphy, with best wishes and warm personal regard to a distinguished American- from his friend. Image measures 13 x 10.5 inches. This is a 1st edition/9th printing and has been signed by George Jones before his 2013 passing in black sharpie To Bob Thanks George Jones.
