ALAN CURTIS Vintage photo in three piece suit, inscribed in person to collector Saul Goodman Photograph inscribed and signed: “To Saul/Alan Curtis”. Collector’s ink stamp on verso dates signature: October 19, 1941. He began his career modeling for local newspaper ads. Noticed in Hollywood for his good looks, Curtis started appearing in films in the late 1930’s. Some of his films include High Sierra (1941), Phantom Lady (1944) and Abbot and Costello’s first hit movie Buck Privates (1941). While other autograph seekers offered album leaves, Goodman presented stars with snazzy photographs, a rarity then, to sign in fountain pen.
