Also signed by the photographer “Robert de Smet, Bruselles” lower right. Inscription reads For the young friends of Madame Meseryk at the Milton Academy. Entire piece framed is 19-1/4″ x 14-1/4″. The photo image itself is 15″ x 11″. The photo is on its original mat backing. Superb image of Shaw by De Smet. The photo itself is in nice condition with no blemishes. The matting showing some toning and mild splotchiness in areas. The old oak frame with some rubs and the end of one of the rear bracket screws coming through on the front in upper right (see close-up photo). Photo not inspected out of frame. Guaranteed to be an original George Bernard Shaw inscription and original Robert de Smet signature.
